If you ever dreamed of trotting down the center line on a well schooled piece of the American dream, check out Orion the Mustang! This handsome gentleman stands 15.1hh and has a solid resume behind him. If you are looking for a mount to show you the ropes in the show ring, he has been there and done that!
Orion was started as a Consumes Prison Program horse before his owner picked him up. From there, he was brought along by an amateur with regular lessons and instruction.... (read more) During their show career together, they were regularly attending 3-4 Western Dressage shows a year and has been shown up to second level. He was even taken all the way to Oklahoma for the Western Dressage Championships, consistently placing top 10 in his classes! His owner is ready to hang up her hat, but this handsome boy still has so much life to live! Let him be your dancing partner!
It's been a few years, but Orion was trail ridden at Folsom Lake and Hidden Falls park with his owner. He has been to an Extreme Trail Course clinic where he completed all the obstacles over in Reno, NV. He's also had other schooling with various trail obstacles. In addition, he's been taken to a cattle sorting and had been familiarized with cattle from the prison program. We can't wait to take him out on trail again!
Orion would be best suited for an amateur or possibly a youth in a program. He is a smooth push ride. With his level head and some experience with obstacles, he may be a fun option for lower level Working Equitation. If you are a rider that has been seeking a horse that is well schooled and exposed, one that knows the ropes and that has a level head on his shoulders, Orion may be a great option for you.
Sound, healthy, no maintenance. Barefoot. Has had vaccine reaction, so current owner chooses to do titers when necessary and not regular vaccinations.
