Meet "Jazzy," a 5 year old, 15hh Kentucky Mountain Horse gelding. He is currently in a training program and preparing for his next adventures in life. He would be a great option for a rider that wants a naturally gaited gelding to glide down the trails with, do obstacle challenges or competitive trail... the sky's the limit!
Jazzy is currently working on all elements that will make him a well rounded partner including lateral suppleness, working off the riders seat, arena, trail, obstacle, and round pen work.... (read more) You can open a gate off of him and he will happily flat walk down the trail if you want to go out with your non-gaited friends. He is also easy to pick up and go if you want to get somewhere faster.
Jazzy was brought over by his current owner from Missouri as a three year old. Before he came to CA, he was lightly started on trail. He then spent time growing up and was restarted in 2024 with attention to detail on groundwork that then expanded into under saddle work. He has been handled regularly with all the elements anyone could appreciate, from sacking out to standing solid at the block and more.
For the gaited horse enthusiast that want something with a little more polish to continue on with, Jazzy is a great option to take a look at! He is gorgeous, correct, kind, and has a great foundation on him. Now all he needs is a new best friend.
