Though Kate is not yet broke to ride, her sweet and willing nature makes her a fantastic candidate for someone who’s ready to guide her through the training process. She’s eager to learn and has a deep desire to please, but she does require a gentle hand and a knowledgeable mentor to help her build confidence and skills.
Kate has just completed her EPM (Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis) medication, and we are thrilled with her progress. She is now ready to embark on the next chapter of her life, where with the right support, she will continue to flourish and grow into a well-rounded partner.
In summary, Kate is a beautiful and promising mare who is ready to take on new challenges with the right guidance. She’s a project for the compassionate and patient trainer who is prepared to invest in her growth and development. ** We will continue to update as we work with Kate, but believe me when I say she is a special horse meant to do something big! Whether that's in the eyes of her new home and family or in the arena, we can't wait to see what she does.
Nexus Equine

The final step in our adoption process is matching the right person with the right horse, creating positive outcomes for the equine community. Horses need resources and support when they are no longer appropriate for current discipline or environment. Nexus provides those option either by putting horses in our adoption and transport programs OR by providing assistance to horse owners with veterinary and farrier care so that horses can remain at home.
Nexus collaborates and partners with other equine organizations, horse and breed associations, national animal welfare organizations and horse enthusiasts on a local and national level to help horses more efficiently and effectively. Our team works hard to help Oklahoma horses—check out recent news coverage, press releases, and social media posts about our efforts in the News Center.
