FOR SALE: October Sky “Toby” is an eight-year-old dark brown 16 hh OTTB mare located in Nevada, TX. I’ve owned this beautiful horse for two years now, have learned so much from her, and will always be thankful for my time with her. However, I’ve decided to part ways with her as I’ve come to realize that I do not have the expertise to make her a finished product. Toby can walk, trot, and canter (although her left lead needs work to get it correct consistently).... (read more) She goes over poles easily and I’ve taken her over small cross rails. Toby would make a great jumping project horse, as she’s shown both the ability and desire to jump. I just do not have the experience to make her a finished product. She’s not spooky, however she is sensitive and needs an experienced rider. She’s sensitive around her forelock/ears area when grooming as well. She gets along with other horses, is easy to catch, stands for the farrier, and trailers easily. She’s up to date on her Coggins and vaccines.
