Easy Living UC “Ellie” is a 2024 chestnut (paint) AQHA filly expected to mature to 16+hh. Ellie is by Living Large (These Irons Are Hot x Quit Staring) and out of DGS Indycisive (Indian Artifacts x Krymsun Hot Invite). Living Large is a 10-time AQHA World Champion and World Champion Sire with multiple AQHA Reserve World and Congress championships.... (read more) Ellie’s paternal grandsire, These Irons Are Hot, not only had a successful career with top placings in various HUS divisions but has also produced several champions within the AQHA show circuit. DGS Indycisive was shown successful in both the AQHA Open and Amateur HUS divisions. She has since retired to produce offspring that inherit her free, ground-covering movement and correct conformation ideal for the hunter show ring.

Ellie is a beautiful, leggy filly with a kind and highly trainable personality. She is halter-broke and stands well for the vet and farrier. She faces obstacles bravely, having been introduced to water, flower boxes, tarps, and poles. Her phenomenal breeding coupled with her laid back temperament and flowing gaits will lead her to be highly successful for a professional or amateur to bring along in the hunter, showmanship, trail, or pleasure-driving show rings.

University of Connecticut Department of Animal Sci

The University of Connecticut offers a four-year Animal Science degree with an Equine Science area of interest. The program is flexible, offering both a broad liberal education, involving a choice of several electives, combined with the option of individual development. A two-year program is available through the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture in which courses cover the more practical aspects of Animal Science....
