UC Cue the Music “Melody” is a 2022 Morgan mare standing 15.1hh (expected to mature to 16hh) by Canon (UVM Springfield x Pastorale) and out of UC Jubilee (UVM Jubilant x SMP Main Topic). (read more) Melody’s maternal grandsire, UC Jubilant, has had several top placings in various in-hand divisions due to his expressive movement and desirable conformation. Her sire, Canon, has impressive government Morgan lines along with the classic Morgan conformation, reminiscent of the original Figure. Her paternal grandsire, UVM Springfield, has sired champions in various disciplines, proving his versatility that has been passed to Melody.
Melody has a solid foundation on the ground, lunging confidently at the walk and trot and has begun developing her canter. Her gaits are animated and flashy. She has been introduced to a bridle and a surcingle, as well as various obstacles. She is brave, and faces poles, tarps, flower boxes, and water with no hesitation. She demonstrates excellent ground manners and quickly learns new skills. She stands for the vet and farrier, and has been introduced to bathing. Her expressive movement, trainability, and easy-going temperament would make her an excellent prospect for an amateur to take in any direction including driving, pleasure, dressage, or western.
