Beautiful flea bitten grey stout Tn walking mare named Gunny. Gunny is 11 years old and stands right at 16 hands. She’s been ridden on trails, at shows, and all up and down the roads around here at home. She stands for grooming, tacking, mounting, bathing, fly spray, etc.
She’s quiet and calm for the most part but def has some pep in her step. Gunny will ride out alone or with other horses. She’s easy to catch, loves attention, and not marish towards humans at all.... (read more) She’s a middle pecking order kind of gal. She’s currently being ridden several times a week under western tack but has been ridden English as well.
This mare is a good girl, quiet, but not a dead head so she needs a CONFIDENT beginner or intermediate rider but can be handled by just about anybody from the ground. My friend’s 11 year old daughter really enjoys riding Gunny and has no trouble with her.
She tends to get a a lil cold if you let her sit too long but nothing scary. She Rides great with another horses or horses, couldn’t ask for better. She rides ok alone too, but she is just the slightest bit buddy or barn sour when u first head out but Nothing a little leg won’t fix. We’re working on that regularly tho.
The only reason I’m getting rid of her is bc I must thin my herd in order to continue to take good care of the rest of my babies and make room for board and trains coming in. She is one of the few I am ok with letting go.
