Introducing Pepper ?️!
Pepper is an old school style Quarter Horse Gelding that’s big boned and big footed, standing approximately 15.... (read more) 3 hands tall and as shapey as they come. Pepper originally came from Wyoming where he was a working ranch horse, from pushing cattle to trail rides in the mountains. Here in PA I mainly use Pepper as a weekend trail horse and Guide horse for all day trail rides at the dude ranch. Pepper is really handy with an easy one hand neck rein, side pass, moves off leg and has a fun quick turn around for moving cows. He is a top notch trail horse that goes anywhere you ask him. He has a great mind and smart when it comes to rough terrain. He rides alone or in large groups. He will lead or follow. He doesn’t mind other horses close to him and is always on his best behavior in new settings and surroundings. Pepper handles natural obstacles with calmness and stability. He’s not spooky around wildlife, objects, or vehicles. The worst he has ever done is give it a glance. Pepper rides in the indoor and the outdoor arena as well but he definitely prefers to being outside on the trails or ranch. He works with a very light handed command and does better with a relaxed confident rider. Pepper has great ground manners and is easy to handle inhand. He loads easy and will stand in the trailer quietly, he baths nicely and is always responsive to you asking him to move over. He has never pulled back nor pawed while tied. Pepper is more used to 24/7 turn out but does very well being stalled. He stands very well to be tacked, bridled, brushed, and to mount. I typically ride Pepper in a short shank snaffle style bit or short shank low port curb. He has a soft mouth and doesn’t need an aggressive bit at all. Pepper has always been in great health for me with no known issues or injuries. He is an easy keeper and doesn’t require any special feeds. He is currently up to date on all 4 shoes, worming, dental. Vaccinations and coggins. Shipping available. Thank you for your interest and have a blessed day.
