This is "ROSCOE", a super smooth, sure footed, naturally gaited BLACK MISSOURI FOX TROTTER GELDING that will one hand neck rein and back up. He has been used in the pastures checking cattle and been to the big state parks on the trails. He has been ridden by a novice rider on the trails. He is a very smooth horse to ride with a big stop and a nice handle. He will lope when asked to do so and will walk relaxed on a loose rein. He is 15 hands tall, attractive, and 11 years old.... (read more) This gelding is traffic safe on the roads and not spooky. I have taken this horse across very deep water and he is brave, willing, and confident through all trail obstacles. He will lead the pack on the trail rides or bring up the rear and not mind either way. He has excellent ground manners, stands tied, loads, bathes, and hauls with no fuss. He is thick made with good bone and he knows how to pick his way cautiously through steep and rocky terrain as well as loose footing. He rides relaxed and low headed out on the trails. He is one of the smoothest gaited geldings I have been on. He has heart and stamina and can carry you on the all day rides.
