Meet Gunner!
Gunner is a 5yr old 14.3hh grade gelding who’s been in training with me since jan 2024. I Purchased gunner as a resale project, and i believe that now is the time i let him go so i can buy another one. gunner has been a fantastic horse for me to train and genuinely makes every ride so fun. This thing is fancy. He rounds up really nice, has good stop on him, and just started spinning one handed. he knows pretty much all the basics under-saddle with some fancy buttons and is amazing on the ground.... (read more) he’s always the first horse to meet you at the gate and is very much an in your pocket type horse. he’s awesome for the farrier but can be weird about them if they’re new. as long as your farrier is patient, he’ll be fine and he warms up to people super quick. He’s fairly seasoned in the showmanship and placed me 8th in the ranch showmanship at the ohio state fair (which was only his second show) he’s a great minded horse who just wants to please. with that being said, he’s broke, but he’s not finished so he needs an experienced rider who can catch his mistakes and correct them when needed. he’s a very sensitive and busy minded horse who tends to have a hard time paying attention at times depending on what you’re doing. He does tend to get upset when asked for things too fast and too quick so keep that in mind. He great in the trailer, loads right in, and he eats and drinks on the road. He does need some more show experience, but i don’t feel it will be hard to get on him. I’ve hauled him quite a bit but just haven’t shown him as much as i’ve wanted to. He’s being sold as a ranch riding horse but has potential to make a great low level hunter option with a redirection in his training if someone desired, or even be good as just an all around horse. he’s got very flashy movement that will definitely get him noticed in the show pen so don’t let him being grade turn you away! i’ve been grateful enough to be the one to put the training on him and fully believe that he’ll make someone an awesome show horse. He’s priced to a good home and not to sell quick, so he’s not cheap. He is currently barefoot up front and has sliders in the back. no current maintenance but may need some in the future.
He will stay in training and legged up until he sells. PPE welcome at buyers expense. Also open to reasonable offers on price
