Talk about a real life unicorn! Here's a beautiful buckskin gelding with a resume as big as his heart. Chip is everything you could want in a partner; safe, kind, and did I mention... beautiful?

He's the horse that truly does it all - rides, drives, ropes, and jumps, with a few fun tricks up his sleeve!

Easy to ride, Chip has a jog you can sit all day, and a smooth, rocking-chair lope. Ready to step things up? Chip has stops, sidepasses, spins, flying changes, and more.... (read more) But if you prefer to go slow, no worries, he is happy to do that too. English or western, he looks great doing both. No matter the level of rider, he will be sure to look after you.

Chip is the perfect horse to build your confidence as he is always the same easygoing mount, even with extended time off. He has been on plenty of trail rides whether it involves hills, desert, creeks, or roads, plus traffic, bush, and fields. He'll ride out alone or with others, regardless of time off, the weather, or the time of year!

He's the true definition of "been there, done that." Chip's resume is impressive. To name just a few points: working feedlots with 10,000 head, parades and fun shows, pulling the sleigh on Christmas, carrying young children around as they learn to ride... most recently, becoming a solid head horse under an NFR qualifying team roper. Go on trails, show, jump, rope a few steers, ride western or english, bareback and bridleless, forwards, backwards, you name it, he'll do it!

Plus, Chip has a few cool tricks: smile, bow, lay down... A perfect gentleman, he will also slide up to the mounting block for you to get on and stands like a rock while you do so. Finally, with plenty of experience driving, he is easy to harness, hitch, and drive, whether in beautiful fields, wooded trails, or on country roads.

Around the barn, he is easy to handle, and has always been sound, easy to keep, and kept up to date on all care. He'll happily ground tie for days while you give him a bath, brush him, braid his mane, etc. He loves to be loved, and is often first to the gate and last to leave.
