“Firefly” is a 9 year old, 15HH mare with an exceptional brain! She is barefoot, healthy, an easy keeper, and has great conformation!
Fly is sensible and sure footed with 3 comfortable gaits. She has a solid foundation in ground work will tie anywhere and stand all day long. It doesn’t matter what chaos goes on around her… she stands. Fly is uphill and very easy on the flat. She has started doing dressage this summer with her amateur rider, which she enjoyed.... (read more) She has also done some lessons for a rider who is just getting back into it and needed a safe ride. Fly is forgiving, easy, kind, super comfortable and safe. She began jumping this summer and loves it! She is quiet to the fences and never gets quick before or after. She is a kick ride and takes care of her rider. Fly trail rides happily with other horses but can need a little more motivation to go out alone. She has been in the Endurance and Competitive Trail world for the past 5 years but it’s a bad fit for her temperament. Fly would rather do a jump lesson in the ring.
Fly is a barn favorite by everyone. She’s super easy and respects all fencing. She is not mareish at all towards people, but likes her space around other horses. She has some seasonal allergies which are easily managed. Fly prefers a happy relaxed rider, but is very forgiving with mistakes in the ring. She is anxious about trailering. She has made a lot of progress, however, it will require patience with new people. Fly could be a local hunter, do 2nd level dressage, or lower level eventing. She could also do western dressage and working equitation. She will do best with an advanced beginner or intermediate rider working with a trainer. She is a relationship driven horse and appreciates the structure of lessons!
