Additional Comments
Sugar (there are more pictures on our website, link on the page) has been a family horse on a ranch and ridden by Mom, Dad and their kids. She has done ranch work, pasture roping, sorting, playdays, and started cutting training with the flag. We have been using her for the trail rides, obstacle course, and for giving lessons. Sugar has been ridden in the arena where she has been trotted on the barrel pattern and is used to other horses riding toward her or from behind her with no spook.... (read more) She has been on the obstacle course riding across the bridge, the teeter-totter, and on the plastic bottle pit. She has been ridden among loose horses here on the ranch. She rides with a loose one-hand neck rein, she will ride off leg pressure, she has a good backup bending at the pole, side pass, spin, and a good stop. She is very smooth at the walk, trot, and canter.
Sugar will let you carry a flag, open and close gates, she will walk through water, down, streams, through thick brush, over fallen trees, up down across deep ditches, bridges, and ravines. Sugar will stand quietly for the vet/farrier, being clipped, bathed, and groomed, while being saddled. She will stand tied to the trailer or cross tied she will stand still for mounting from the ground or mounting block. She is a very sweet gentle, dog and kid, friendly mare. She is easy to catch, and gets along well with all of our other horses, she is not "mare"-ish. She loads and halls very well, and has great ground manners.
Sugar would be a great prospect for ranch sorting, team penny, drill, team, goat tying, parades, trail horse competitions, playdays, barrels, poles, walk, trot, lead line, a lesson horse, or an English prospect for pony club.
Sugar is a drop-dead gorgeous splash pinto mare with a bald face, two beautiful blue eyes, a long beautiful thick mane, tail, and forelock. She has a cute head, thick neck and shoulders, nice withers, straight back, wide hips and chest. She is a stout pony and can easily hold an adult. Sugar would be a great fit in anyone’s barn. She would be great for the ranch, kids and your inexperienced guests to ride. Everyone one need a little paint in their barn. Please no outside trades, deposits, or payment plans. First come, first serve.
