Trigger is a 15hh (sticked), 10 year old chestnut grade QH mare. She has been ridden extensively on trails over all types of terrain, crossed water and swam, gone over bridges and mountain trail obstacles, been highlined, and ponied other horses and foals. She is a forward-moving horse, but very controllable and safe; if you want a horse that covers ground smoothly and can go all day, this is your girl!... (read more) You can jump on her from the side of a round pen, do "around the world", etc. and she won't blink an eye. Not spooky. She has been ridden through cows and is unbothered, and has had a rope thrown off of her, but hasn't actually roped anything. She rides in a rope halter or a bit, bareback or with a saddle. She doesn't like a lot of pressure on her face or mouth, so needs someone with light hands. In the arena, she has three nice gaits that are smooth and flowing, but has mostly been ridden on the trail. She would be suitable for a confident youth age 14+ or an adult amateur with support. She is not mare-ish (I rode her with a gelding while she was in heat and you couldn't even tell). She is an average keeper and does well on free choice netted hay or pasture.
