Lukey Pookie is one of my favs ? Luke has had quite the life being a using ranch and rope horse until a few years ago. Now he enjoys the posh lesson and flat work life! Luke is the one to greet you at his stall gate and the guy who puts his chin on your shoulder while you’re cleaning stalls. He truly is a love bug.

Luke is looking for an easier life.... (read more) He is not 100% sound and has some arthritic changes and I do have X-rays for those to review with their vet. Luke is most comfortable being a lesson horse with decent footing or a flat work/easier trail life. He adores neighborhood strolls and taking time off property. He enjoys seeing the sights!

Luke has a decent handle on him. He is soft in the face and responsive to legs. He’s taken to lessons well with trainers guidance. He is an overall pretty quiet gelding. Luke rides in just about anything, but currently riding in an O Ring Snaffle just fine. Luke is definitely more woah than go and prefers to be walking and trotting. He has an excellent stop as well. Luke stands ties, hauls/loads, and bathes.

Luke has a heart of gold for his person/people! Around the barn we joke that he’s a mare in a geldings body. He falls pretty low on the totem pole if not bottom every time. He does better with mares than geldings (unless they match his energy) in turn out. Luke must of been raised with mares because he has the ear pin down. Sometimes I don’t think he even knows why he does it? Luke is a funny guy to have around the barn. He has lots of personality. He is gentle and kind.
