“Runa” is a 15 year old Belgian mare standing 17.2 hands high. I can’t say enough good things about this lady. This big girl is gentle and as they come. She is beginner safe. 100 year old grandma safe. She is as broke as you can imagine. This girl is a DEADHEAD!
She is easy on the ground, picks up feet, stands tied, stands to be groomed, bathed, clipped, and tacked. She is safe enough for a beginner rider with no experience.... (read more) She will W/T nicely and will Canter if you fight her enough. I cannot stand a deadhead horse and that’s why me and this mare do not get along. She doesn’t have a “go” button. Ever. A whole group of horses can take off running and she’ll stay at a walk unless you ask her otherwise. When you do manage to get her to canter it’s about as slow as her trot.
Runs drives single and in teams. She is easy enough to harness and hook up with only one person. She will take you safely around the farm or down the road. Runa is traffic safe and good with motorcycles, bicycles, semi’s and other loud vehicles.

This is NOT a horse that’s going to canter around the arena so do not ask for arena videos. She does not know her leads. And she is not fancy broke. And she isn’t one you’ll get fancy because she has no will go do anything but walk and sometimes trot if you ask. She is a trail horse.
