Lilith is a 4yo Dutch warmblood mare. She currently stands 16hh when last measured 2 months ago. Her sire is Vaandrager (KWPN) and her dam is Bombay Betty (TB). She is not registered with KWPN yet. I have to pull dna from her dam. Her sire is on file.
I’ve owned her since the beginning of June (‘24) where she was picked from her breeders pasture. She didn’t know much, was barely halter broke.... (read more) She is a real genuine project, through and through.
She is not started under saddle. I’ve been slowly bringing her along in the round pen with ground work. A lot of my focus has been on getting her up to weight and ready physically and mentally for starting under saddle. I’ve also struggled with finding a suitable boarding facility for her. She is a dominate mare that was raised in a herd of 11 horses. She definitely took more bites and kicks than she dished out. We have been at two boarding facilities since her purchase and both times she has taken the herd leader role.
She is extremely athletic. She’s agile. And her endurance is incredible. She does not get tired working in the round pen. She can be picky about her food. She’s hauled twice on a trailer now. The first time took about 30 minutes to load and the second less than 15. She followed me on with grain. She doesn’t miss a meal, that’s for sure. I have not had her hooves trimmed yet..but we are getting close. She wears her hooves down very nicely. Never been unsound or had any injuries. No serious scars. Just from bites and kicks in the pasture. Zero colic.
She knows the basics in the round pen. Natural horsemanship based. Longes well. Incorporating voice commands. She’s an absolutely stunning mover. Very fancy. Cross ties and regular ties. Loves the hose.
My plans for her are dressage, jumping, endurance and driving. Although she’s incredibly athletic and would excel in almost any discipline.

Since moving to our new boarding facility, she is struggling to settle down and settle in. It’s been almost four weeks. I highly suspect ulcers, and she needs a full vet exam to determine what’s causing this. I recently lost my job which is forceing me to have to find her a new home. I can no longer afford the care she’s requiring. My loss is your gain. I am entertaining all offers to amazing homes only.

She has been on free choice hay for well over a week now and she’s improving tremendously. She will go back into training next week as long as her tummy stays happy. Snag her now before I put her back into training and her price goes back up. This is a quality mare for a steal of a price.
