Salty Saul is a 5 year old very pretty and well bred OTTB mare by Exaggerator (Preakness winner, 2nd in Kentucky Derby) out of a Storm Cat granddaughter. This dark brown filly is a pleasure to work around, not nervous or spooky. She is a real sweetheart who loves attention. Very nice prospect for English disciplines, hunter/jumper, fox hunting, dressage, etc. She is green but learns fast and wants to please. Very nice gaits, just started over cross rails.... (read more) Sold for $17,000 as a two year old at the Fasig-Tipton sale. Ties, clips, loads, stands for the farrier, easy to catch in the field. Currently turned out 24/7 to get to be a horse after coming off the track. Lower in the pecking order, can turn out with mares and/or geldings. Is not mare-ish. No bite or kick. No known vices or injuries. Retired Racehorse Project Eligible.
