Just been sent 11/17/2024 for a 30day tune up with a trainer.
Prestigious Patriot aka Indy which is short for Independence is an beautiful 8yr old dappled tricolored buckskin paint gelding with a white horse along his whole right side. I’ve had him since he was 2 and knew him since he was 24 hours old. We’ve done trail rides and lots of overnight camping. I got pregnant in 2022 so I haven’t rode him since October 2022. I got on him October 24th 2024 and went for our very first solo trail ride alone and he was incredible.... (read more) Crossed the creek, had some go to him as we haven’t rode in two years but didn’t do anything funny on the trail just wanted to go. Now we’re pregnant again and he loves to go for rides I feel bad having him sit. He will NOT make a great barrel horse or speed event horse for he is lazy and doesn’t like working in an arena. I knew and rode both his parents and both were wonderful horses as well. He has a laid back personality but loves to be in your space and have you touching him or brushing him. He gets jealous if you’re in the pasture trying to brush another horse, he’ll come over and squeeze in between so you brush him. Very loving horse, loves attention, loves to go for trail rides. Wouldn’t take much to get him back into work. I’ve had kids on him on a lead line and he did phenomenal, but being off for two years I wouldn’t just let a beginner on him on their own so currently I would said intermediate rider.
