Meet Monte!
Sire: Nonnegotiable (TB)
Dam: Percheron/Paint
This 9-year-old gelding is 16.1. Monte is a green horse with a lot of potential. He was started in January 2022, and I acquired him in May 2024. He has a very sweet disposition and loves to learn. Monte prefers consistent, correct riding and handling. He's a great choice for a patient and experienced rider. I believe Monte could excel in any discipline. He hasn't traveled much, but I think with a confident, patient handler, he would adjust quickly.... (read more) He occasionally crow hops. He has never reared. Monte tends to test new handlers, but once boundaries are established, he's great. He has been trail ridden and did well, without any unwanted behavior other than snorting at the new sights. As a colt, Monte underwent periosteal stripping surgery, resulting in scar tissue on the interior of both knees. X-rays have confirmed that the interior knee knobs are scar tissue and not bone.

**I'm looking to trade for a registered Quarter Horse that is quiet, age don't matter. I've started a western lesson program and need to add to my string of lesson horses. I'm not in any rush to place him. Willing to discuss sale price, a great home is my main concern.
