AQHA 7 year old, 15.1 hand Red Roan gelding. This is a very gentle and kind horse that has a good handle on him. He is handy yet quiet and has an easy one hand neck rein, good turnarounds, a nice, comfortable jog, and lopes out on cue. Roanie takes his leads, has a good stop, backs up well and side passes with ease to open and close the gates. Roanie has been rode by young teens as well as novice adults and he takes good care of his mount.... (read more) He is solid to ride out anywhere from rugged trails including the arena. On the trail Roanie is confident and goes over around or through anything we point him at without hesitation. Crosses our very technical rocky river, small, creeks, trail, bridges, tarps, etc. He will lead, follow, ride quietly in a group or out on his own, is very sure footed and dependable in steep rocky terrain. Roanie is equally as good to ride around our neighborhood. He has been used on the property for all of the farm chores. He carries the flags, tarps, cans and such. This is a great horse with a bright future. He’s always gentle and is an absolute pleasure to ride and be around. Roanie is a friendly horse that loves people and attention. Gets along well turned out as well as in a box stall or a pen by himself. He has no bad habits or vices and is good about everything. He is an exceptionally nice, well-mannered horse. Has the gorgeous looks to boot! Trail ride, arena ride or go to work on the farm this one can do it all. 100% sound.
