Riki is a 6 year old mare by Rubignon and out of Caramia B. Hasn’t been sticked but she’s on the smaller side so I would estimate she’s around 15.2-3h.

Riki was started under saddle as a 2 year old but then sat untouched in a pasture for 4 years due to no fault of her own. I purchased her this spring with plans to restart her under saddle but I travel for work and have unfortunately had to accept that being home one day a week is not enough to start a young horse.... (read more) I have sat on her a handful of times and she was completely unfazed so I don’t think it’ll take much to get her going but she does need to be restarted from the ground up. She has super cute movement that I could see excelling in dressage or eventing. While I could also see her doing lower level hunters, I don’t think that’s what her true calling in life is going to be.

As a result of being unhandled for 4 years, Riki can be wary of new people. She’s such a sweet mare and doesn’t have a mean bone in her but she does need someone that can take the time to gain her trust. She’ll do anything I ask of her but can be skittish and unsure when someone she doesn’t know tries to handle her. She’s never mean or dangerous but will politely decline and move away. She currently lives outside and gets along with other horses but does tend to be at the bottom of the totem pole.

Riki is selling as grade but may be able to be registered with Westfalen NA. There does seem to be some record of her with them but I can’t get ahold of anyone there to figure out the process to get the registration complete and don’t have time to keep trying. Her breeder is not going to be any help in getting it done so again, she is selling as grade.

Riki is located in Hillsborough, NC. Her price is negotiable to an experienced and educated home that can bring her along to her full potential.
