Winona is a 14 year old palomino gaited mare.
She is a stocky 14.2 hands tall.
She has a smooth gait, really knows how to carry her head and moves nice.
She came from the south, was being used for trail and was being ridden by the teenagers. She had an ill fitting saddle and a very thin pad, saddle sitting right on her withers....so....
Let's mention this....when she first came she was quite bitchy, no other way to describe it.... (read more) She has gotten a lot better!! She is an ear pinner, we have given her every opportunity to bite, kick, etc, but she just pins her ears. Kinda like if she intimidated someone, she wouldn't have to work.
She tacks up fine, stands to mount and goes where she is pointed. Smooth gaited, not fast, but steady.
Gets along with others in the pasture. She's not complicated, just don't be put off if she pins her ears at you...it's part of her charm!

We are very honest about what we are selling and tell all the behaviors we have noticed while they are with us. Key words being "while they are with us." If you take them home, feed 10 gallons of grain, don't ride them and let them get away with every bad behavior possible, we can't help that when their behavior changes.
