I owned this mare 2 years ago and I know the people that had her before that. I just got her back because she was not cared for by the people I sold her to. They did great the first year but then let her go down. She has developed COPD since I sold her. She used to heave occasionally if she was around something she was allergic to but a couple shots of Dex would clear her right up. Now she has full blown COPD. She has been breathing bad all summer and I’ve had no luck clearing it up.... (read more) She is an easy keeper if you can keep her breathing under control. She has gained a couple hundred pounds back.
She is AMAZING. Does everything on the ground. Can be a tad pushy but she bathes, picks up her feet, great for farrier, ties, loads, unloads, stands to be saddled and mounted, and trailers super quiet. ANYBODY can ride this mare. Ride double or triple. I haven’t ridden her since I got her back but she has sat up for over a year previously and rode right off with zero issues. She prefers to walk and trot and does not like to lope with small children. She will lope right off with a bigger kid or adult. You can flip off of her, crawl under her, kids can literally crawl all over up and down this mare and she’ll never move. Would make a great lesson horse for small kids or a great therapy horse. Low horse in a herd. Great babysitter for kids and foals. Was previously a playday horse (walking and trotting).
