“Seahorse” is a trooper/soldier of a pony – he has been-there and done-that and seen-that. He is just the right size at 9.3h, the right age with plenty of experience at 16 years old where he has all the seasoning and miles to be able to take care of the teeny-tiny kids, but still young enough that he has plenty of spunk left for the older kids to ride and enjoy him.... (read more) We shot the video of this pony, during “dead week” (That one awful last week of REAL summer heat in Texas – after the kiddos have all been in school for two weeks) everyone is a zombie this week, from the still 4AM before-the-heat wake up calls, then being in school all-day, plus after school sports practices and games… And even after “dead-week” – my daughter was still trying to fit riding this pony into her way-too-long of an exhausting day. He is a blast to ride, a size that is not intimidating for any size little rider, but still big enough for the older kids to ride too. He has a great little lope, a smooth little pokey pony jog/trot, and a great stop on “whoa”. He rides outside just as well as he does in the arena, he has been a ton of miles outside. Rides out great alone, or with a group of horses. He will go into, over, through, or onto absolutely anything that you point him at. He has a very simple, easy, point and shoot handle – uncomplicated to guide, he makes the kiddos comfortable and feel like they are in the driver’s seat. He has a big marching walk and if you need him to, he can walk out and keep up down the trail with the big horses. He easily crosses creeks, bridges, logs, goes into water. You can not replace the knowledge these teenage ponies and horses have to pass on to their next little riders, this guy has already been around the block a lot – and he knows the deal! He is easy to catch, easy to lead, load, hauls well with horses, stands tied like a soldier anywhere, great in the barn, and tied to the trailer, happy kept out, or kept in the barn, easy to trim, bathe, groom, saddle, and even the little-est kiddos can halter and bridle him. If you are looking for a fun little pony that is the right age and size for the whole family of kiddos to all enjoy, don’t miss our little soldier, “Seahorse”. Seahorse was just trimmed this past week and two weeks ago had his teeth done by our equine dentist, at that time his ears were preemptively treated for ticks, and his sheath was also cleaned. He was also just power pack wormed. He will arrive at his new home up-to-date and ready to go to work!
