Herd Reduction - Please read the ad before inquiring. Looking to place my recently gelded herd sire in his new forever home. "Sparks" is a stunning boy, gentle and willing but needing a professional trainer who can patiently spend time working with him. He is NOT a riding horse currently. He was my herd sire for the past 5 years, did an amazing job of it but he no longer fits my program as I have retained some of his daughters, am looking to retire soon and working towards reducing my herd significantly in preparation.... (read more) He was lightly started as a 2-3 year old but never ridden beyond those 60 days or so total. After an evaluation and 5 sessions by my trainer the decision was made to place him based on his current status as a complete restart rather than put additional training on him. We felt it was in his best interest to continue training with his new owner allowing for the bonding and trust needed to move forward into his new role. He is not a project for an inexperienced trainer and I will require we have a voice to voice if not face to face conversation to discuss him further before I send additional information.
