EDIT: I have found somebody to lease him. For some reason I am unable to delete my ad. Thank you everybody.
For your consideration - my horse Nugget is available for an on farm half lease in Millbury, MA.
Nugget is a 16 hand 11 year old palomino quarter horse cross gelding.
A half lease of Nugget would mean that you could ride whenever you would like. You would be free to use my tack, brushes, blankets, and anything else you would need for him.... (read more) You may also use your own tack, as long as I check it beforehand to make sure that it fits him properly. A half lease of Nugget would be $600/month. The monthly fee would be your only financial responsibility. This price can be negotiated. I will take care of the cost of shoes, vet, feed, etc.
On our property we have miles and miles of trails for use at your leisure. Nugget also trailers well, so if you would like to take him camping or to another barn for lessons or shows you certainly may.
Nugget is a phenomenal trail horse. He is fantastic in the lead or behind someone else. He has seen everything, and it is extremely rare for him to spook. He will walk, trot, canter, gallop, and jump. He listens well and is happy to do a slow and collected ride, a fast and exciting ride, or even a combination of both. He can go in a western saddle, English saddle, or bareback. I prefer the use of a western style bridle and reins for him, as he responds much better to loose reins or neck reining. He has done everything from crossing rivers to descending over 45° rocky hills to navigating icy trails. He is great at what he does, and he is great at keeping his rider safe. He will do pretty much whatever you ask, unless he deems it unsafe, and I trust his judgement. The only thing that he will not do when asked is go more than chest deep into a body of water like a lake. He prefers not to swim. Trail riding is what Nugget loves.
He will also do ring work. He’s not as big of a fan of this, but he will absolutely still do what you ask. He has done a couple of reining lessons, barrel courses, trail classes, and jumping. He will walk, trot, and canter both leads in the ring for you. He is a very smart horse, and will get the hang of whatever you try with him.
If interested, send me a PM. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
