Additional Comments
Jazz appears to be a Tennessee Walker or a TWH cross. He is fast-walking and has a smooth, slow gait. Jazz is good-minded and social with people and other horses. He has been on many trail rides and rides out nicely alone, on the lead or behind others. He crosses water. Spooks in place when startled by animals running across the trails. He doesn't bolt, buck, rear, kick or bite. Loads easily into a trailer, and stands well for the farrier and vet.... (read more) He has been trained using Natural Horsemanship groundwork.
Jazz is healthy and sound. Two points to consider: Jazz is sway-backed, though his topline improves with conditioning and nutrition. He also has a slight misalignment of his teeth that causes his molars to wear unevenly. This does not affect his ability to eat or wear a bit but he does need a yearly dental checkup. Judging by his teeth last fall, our vet aged Jazz at 16 years old. He will turn 17 sometime in 2024.
Jazz is not especially spirited but he is not pokey. I would recommend him for an intermediate rider. I am very fond of this horse and am selling him only because I have health issues that will prevent me from riding soon. I want to find him a home where he will be well cared for and enjoyed as much as he is here. Contact me for more info, pics and Jazz's youtube video playlist.
Our farm is located in Bismarck, Arkansas, about 12 miles south of Hot Springs. Near the junction of Highways 7 and 84.
