Merlin is a standout Friesian x Dutch Warmblood cross with elegance, athleticism, and a bright future ahead of him. Over the past 90 days, we've had the pleasure of starting him under saddle, and he’s proven to be an absolute joy to work with. Merlin moves gracefully through walk, trot, and canter both in the arena and in open fields. He’s been trailered to nature preserves for hacks and shows courage, calmness, and focus in every setting—whether he’s riding solo or in a group.... (read more)
This young prospect combines intelligence with a willing spirit, making him the ideal partner for an ambitious dressage or eventing rider. He’s not only brave and non-spooky (not saying he will never spook, after all he is a young horse) but also highly trainable, making maneuvers like side-passing over logs and barrels, calmly navigating a teeter-totter, and confidently passing through a smoke tunnel. Merlin has a remarkable level of exposure and maturity for his age and has all the right attributes to go far in the dressage or eventing arena.
This talented horse has so much to offer without being intimidating, making him an exciting prospect for those seeking a partner who’s both steady and capable of rising through the levels. Don’t miss the opportunity to make Merlin yours and continue developing his bright future!
*His time is up with us on November 30th & he will be going back home.

Offering foundational training for performance horses, while addressing individual issues, utilizing a wholistic approach based on equine psychology, physiology, and biomechanics. These sound principles benefit all equine partners for ANY discipline. I have experience with draft crosses, stock horses, and ponies.
The basics we work towards with each horse are forward, soft, supple, & willing. We encourage curiosity in all of our horses and exposing them without making them dull, and sensitive without being afraid. Horses are typically trailered to different places 2+ times a week (Depending on time of year & weather) but are worked with a minimum of 5 sessions per week. We haul to local barns to ride in an indoor and outdoor arenas & trail rides to expose them to different terrain & obstacles creating a more versatile and confident mount. The benefit of exposure to real life outside can’t be overstated.
Rest assured, your horse will come back home a better horse than when it was, I keep communication lines open and up to date as well as videos and photos of our experiences.
