Additional Comments
Triscuit is 14.1 hands, neck reins, has a good backup, goes over jumps and is unflappable on the trail. No spook or buck. He likes to be in the lead and has a peppy walk so is a bit forward at times. He is barefoot and has great feet. No arthritis or health issues. Can provide a full report from vet or you can have your own vet check him out. He is a very nice mover and is great on the trails if you don’t mind being in the lead at times. He is also very good in the round pen, will lunge and do what you ask of him.... (read more) He is a fast and willing learner. He will follow you around like a puppy. I’ve also taught him how to smile for treats . We have also practiced natural horsemanship in the round pen. I have videos upon request and photos. I can get more if you need them. If you would like to set up an appointment to come and meet Triscuit please contact me. This guy loves the trails and needs someone who can ride him more frequently than I have been able to. Due to arthritis and osteoporosis I am not able to ride him as much as he needs. I do not feel he is a horse for a beginner. But I do believe he would be perfect for a teenager or a smaller adult who is an intermediate to advanced rider. I would not suggest him for a child to learn on as he is not a beginner horse.
I think he could possibly be good at some sport like mounted games or the like . But to be honest ,where he really excels and is the happiest is out on the trails. So don’t let his age dissuade you, You would never know he was 20. He has a lot of good years left and will make an amazing partner. I want him to have a loving forever home. I wouldn’t sell him if I didn’t have to, so it’s very important to me that whoever buys him is absolutely sure he is the one. He is totally fine with field board but suggest being turned out with geldings only, no mares.
