Copper is an 11 year old grade quarter horse that stands 15.2 hands. She is built like a semi. She is broke to ride. A bit fancy, will neck rein, move off legs, wtl, stops, and back up. Smooth gaits. Can collect nicely in gaits but natural speed is a lil on the faster side. She has been used for a number of things like trails, arena work, gymkhanas, sortings etc.... she is willing to do whatever. She does have a big motor when asked. Alittle more go than whoa.... (read more) Can be forward a lil forward at times. Pretty smooth gaits. She doesn't care about much. Have ridden her alone in a group, down the road, in the hills, thru water, over bridges, and nothing really phases her. She's happy to do it all. She's not marish but can have a lil sass occasionally, mainly when running her in events and slowing her down part way thru. She is patterned on the barrels but that's not all she wants to do with her life, she enjoys trails and cow work. She's only been doing gymkhanas recently for fun. She's not rated. On barrels she's a 4D-5D with novice rider. She has the speed and know how to do much better. With a more experienced barrel racer she would pull 3D times easily. Gentle but on the muscle at events. She is fun to ride. On trails she walks out nicely and can cover some ground. She would be suitable for ranch type work as well. This mare can be a trail horse or do the events or both whatever you like to do. Not a dead head but gentle and broke. Would be okay for youth in events if youth is a lil handy. On trails she's fine for beginner type adults. Ties, good for farrier, trailers good, bathes. No issues. No vices or bad habits.
