Say hello to your dream pony! Pistol is a 14 year old grade black gelding pony. He stands 10.3hh and is built like a little bulldog. Pistol has been a family pony from the beginning of his riding career. He’s quiet and peaceful for the lead line, but will short lope out of his tracks when your kidos are ready to RIDE. Pistol has been hauled to play days and parades. He knows the barrels, poles, goat tying, and flag events. Any type of commotion from banners blowing in the wind, to loud speakers, to other horses running by him, to seeing things like baby strollers or balloons does not phase him one bit.... (read more) Pistol has a very honest neck rein, a smooth trot, and an even smoother short lope. Our little boy is 6 years old riding him in the video and although he can be timid on some horses, his is confidence is through the roof when he rides Pistol because Pistol will build his riders confidence levels. There’s never any concern in our overbearing parent minds either. Pistol does not have a “pony mentality”, he is never headstrong or stubborn acting. He’s been rode and used like a ranch horse and can do any type of job that a big horse can do from roping calves, to herding cattle… He stands like a saint to saddle, bridle, trim, bathe, and anything else you can think of. He has been instrumental in our kids’ confidence and Pistol is the reason they are ready to move up to the next level. If you’re in the market, don’t hesitate, this kind is truly one in a million.
