Apache is a stout, approximately 14.2 h, grade appaloosa gelding. His owner purchased him last year to be their family trail horse. Although Apache is wonderful on the trails, and will go anywhere (including water crossing), he is not as trained as he was said to be. Apache can be opinionated and needs to have clear boundaries set by his person. He would very likely benefit tremendously from someone who had the time to build a strong relationship of trust and respect as he does not seem to have had this previously.... (read more)  

Apache's current owners love him and want to do what is best for him so finding him a home that is a better fit is their priority. 

Apache is 14 -15 years old and currently overweight at about 1100 lbs. He lives on a several acre hilly pasture so is not living a sedentary life when unridden. 

Apache has sensitive skin and does not like bugs landing on him - he will toss his head or swish his tail frequently but nothing more. He has not been trained to soften through his jaw and use his topline. I spent a few minutes working with him and he was receptive to learning.

Apache is good for the vet and farrier and is current with his sheath cleaning, float, and vaccinations (January 20024). He stands tied nicely, has no issues being tacked up, and will hop right into the horse trailer and hauls quietly.

Apache is priced to sell and priority given/negotiable to a good home!
