Chester is a 7 yo AQHA gelding standing 15-15.1 hands. Here’s a versatile, well-broke horse. He’s primarily been a trail/arena horse for us, but has been exposed to ranch work and has done well with it. He’s had the rope swung off him, been used around cows (noticed he does like to “chase” smaller animals) and to open gates. He’s got a pretty calm demeanor, did excellent on the obstacle course; and given the chance, he has been known to chew on the tarp.... (read more) In the arena, his W/T/C is smooth and he rides off of leg and seat as well as direct rein. He’s not a speed demon, but he does have some when asked. He will stand tied, trailers well, stands for the farrier/bathing. He is UTD on vaccines with a current Coggins and his teeth were done 7/24. He has good ground manners, gets along with mares and geldings, easy to catch, and is an easy keeper. He was my child’s horse (beginner rider) for the past two years, maybe getting ridden once every couple weeks, and they got along. However, he is a happier horse with more consistent work and a rider who’s assertive and confident. He is a loveable, quirky guy who likes attention and isn’t hard on the eyes either.
