“DON’T SKIP MOXIE” A.K.A. “MOXIE”

Moxie is a sizeable 6 yr old chestnut mare with a sweet disposition and a good mind. She has 60 days of training under her belt and is entering her third solid month. She is ready to take in any direction, however, with Mr Moxie Man and Zippo Pine Bar in her papers, this girl is meant to be a pleasure horse.

Moxie is a really easy ride, w/t/c transitions easily.... (read more) She is really sensitive to both verbal and seat cues. Moves off leg easily and is otherwise a really enjoyable green horse. She will be a really easy one to finish!

Moxie’s ground manners are fabulous. This girl stands tied quiet, bathes, loads, and is gentle and easy to work around. Stands quiet for the farrier and has never had shoes on her feet, which are healthy and hardy. We put her first rides on her here and she has never offered any buck, rear, or bolt. She did so well in her first few weeks we allowed an advanced working student to back her and learn some training concepts this summer and it was a really positive experience. She likes to think through problems and is really willing. She is a pretty mover and a really light ride. No maintenance.

Moxie came from the field into our program and has not had a terrible amount of time outside of the arena so that will be recommended to whoever intros her into their home/program. She would be best suited with an intermediate to advanced rider simply because she is green. She deserves a solid home where she can continue to build her confidence and make somebody a nice pleasure mare. We would love to see her live up to her full potential!
