Morgan has all age-appropriate training and is SHOW RING READY. He stands quietly when tied and stands politely for the farrier.... (read more) He has great hooves and receives routine farrier/hoof care. Morgan is comfortable with grooming, bathing, clipping and force drying. He has been started very lightly under saddle, as well as harness. He has a mind for driving and lovely movement and a natural headset.
He does well in a herd environment and has been out with other stallion and geldings, including blind horses. Most recently he has been pastured with two mares and one of those mares 2023 foal. He is very kind to the youngster and can often be found babysitting her while her dam grazes.
He checks all the boxes in confirmation, clean genetically, movement, height, flashy color, show exposure.
He is dual registered with the International Drum Horse Association and the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (Drum Horse Book) His breed percentages are: 43.75% Gypsy, 25% Shire, 31.25% Clydesdale. I do expect him to finish over 16hh and reach a premium height status with the IDHA. He is close to 16hh currently.
He carries two copies of tobiano, so will always throw a patterned foal. He is phantom trained and has received multiple compliments on his behavior while at the breeding facility.
Morgan is expecting his first two foals in 2025. One will be an F2 Drum Horse and the other an F3 Drum Horse.
He is by a multi-champion earning stallion, and out of a multi-champion earning mare in both halter and performance. His bloodlines include Alexander the Great (exported to New Zealand, 4th level dressage), Galway Warrior, Cushti Bok and Badrill Glenord.
Morgan has been showing successfully since weaning and has done quite well in the ring. He has traveled and shown in multiple states. He has a Reserve Champion title, as well as a 2023 IDHA High Point title under his belt. He placed over his sire in halter as a 10-month-old.
We have full DNA results available on him. We welcome and encourage PPE veterinary examinations or trainer evaluation. He is current on all vaccinations and has a current negative Coggins.
