Rey Jey’s Feather, a descendant of War Admiral, aka Trooper, is a 17-year-old registered appendix gelding standing approximately 15.2 hh. We added Trooper to our herd a few years ago with the expectation that he could be a high-level jumper for our daughter. After a few years of training, we have decided Trooper isn’t going to be a high-level jumper or cross-country jumper and would be best suited for more space, trail riding, and someone who can ride him consistently.... Notes from Trooper’s trainer: he has the potential to be the pick of the herd for checking cows or fences in big open country because of his long, smooth, ground-covering trot. I have really enjoyed working with Trooper. Trooper learns new skills quickly and tries to please. His current owners have put a lot into his well-being and done him a lot of good mentally and physically. No doubt the work they have done will benefit the next owner in finding his potential.
Trooper neck reins, has a nice trot and covers the ground with nice movement. His previous home was a family member’s pasture where he moved out on long trail rides. In our herd and in his last herd he was the herd leader. Trooper has good feet and can go barefoot or shod. We have been barefoot trimming and hoof building.
Trooper does have his vices. He is buddy sour and takes consistent buddy drills/schooling. UTD on vaccinations and teeth. We have a big spot in our hearts for Trooper and would love to see him loved in his next family. Not a kid horse, he needs an experienced rider. Pedigree and additional pictures or videos available upon request.
