This is a NATURALLY GAITED BLUE ROAN KENTUCKY MOUNTAIN MARE that is versatile and has lots of heart and stamina. She has been used for trail endurance competitions, been used to check cattle on large tracts of land, and she has been ridden on weeklong trail rides. She is 16 years old but don't let her age discourage you as she has more grit and heart than any horse in the barn. You do not need special shoes, a special bit, or to be a special rider, she gaits with ease. This mare is traffic safe on the roads, used to dogs, side by sides, etc. She has good ground manners, she stands tied, loads, bathes, and hauls with no issues. She is a great horse for someone wanting to do rough trail riding or to check a lot of cattle. She is smooth and you can ride her all day and not feel sore.
