5 year old 16.3hh Aphc bay gelding. “Levi” has had about 6 months of under saddle riding starting in January. He is a sweet sweet boy with a puppy dog attitude. He has wonderful hair that contradicts his appy heritage. He is low man on the totem pole in a herd setting. Despite his size he is easy to handle on the ground. Stands great for farrier, saddling, grooming, baths, etc. I have done lots of trail riding on him and he does spectacular.... (read more) He will bravely lead or calmly follow in the back. He is easy going and laid back on the trails. In the arena, he has much more whoa than go. He wants to go places in the arena. We have been working on slowing our feet and our brain and relaxing into the riding. He is very light in the mouth and very responsive to cues but tends to get ahead of himself. He knows the basics of side pass, and yielding the forehand/hindquarters. He has a big, beautiful, floating trot that will take your breath away. He is learning how to slow down and control his canter. He is much stronger loping on the left lead than the right. He would excel as a Western Dressage or even Ranch Riding prospect. Easy enough for a beginner to trail ride on, but would recommend either having a trainer or being more experienced to ride him in the arena. He has a current coggins and is UTD on his vaccines.
