Big, stout and gentle. Pretty Boy Floyd has been handled since birth, so he is gentle and friendly. Easy to catch, leads well, will stand tied, easy to saddle, accepts a snaffle bit, will load and unload in trailer, will stand for farrier for trims (although it will take a patient farrier), has been turned out in pasture with the rest of the herd, and has also been kept in corrals. He has been hauled long distance between Kansas and New Mexico multiple times.... (read more) He has been exposed to cattle, heavy equipment, dogs, everything associated with a working cattle ranch. Knows what barbed wire and electric fencing is. Has been hitched to and pulled a wagon with an experienced mare. HE HAS NOT BEEN RIDDEN YET, but is ready for this next level of training. I think a skilled hand will not have too much trouble getting him started. He is a solid 16 hands, and still might have a bit more to grow.
