It is with some sadness and after much thought that we announce that we will be offering this beautiful stallion up for a new ZIP Code. We have kept him for many years because he is such a quality stallion. He will always have a place in our hearts and family. We are keeping two of his daughters and one of his granddaughters, and the majority of our breeding herd is related to him.... (read more) We hope to find him a wonderful home where he can continue to put beautiful babies on the ground.
He is a 2009 gaited foundation Appaloosa stallion. He carries the Indian shuffle gene. He is five panel negative. DNA is A/a, e/e, LP/n, PATN1/n, DMTR3/n. His pedigree includes wonderful horses like Quinta Joe, Prince Plaudit, Ulrich Kitten III, and DM Redman. Click here for a link to his pedigree visit our website
Within the last year and a half he has completed five 50 mile endurance races (AERC or EDRA sanctioned) and one 25 mile LD. He has proven himself to be sound, forward, athletic, and have a good mind. He is currently 50 mile fit. He eats and drinks well on the trail. I have ridden him hundreds, if not, thousands of miles in the mountains. He crosses water, logs, handles terrain well, rarely spooks, has no buck or bolt. He is forward, but has a good mind.
He trailers well, hard ties and cross ties with no issues, is easy to bathe, vaccinate and worm. He rides out well alone, or with groups of horses. He has never bucked or bolted. He is currently pastured with several mare and foals and does well in a herd setting but we have kept him in a stall/run as well.
This guy has a ground covering walk, especially going downhill. He can really move. He does a nice 4 beat rack (it tends to be a little pacey but when he’s in training, it evens out nicely). He also has the standard walk, trot, and canter gaits. His canter is well balanced and beautiful. Most people do not know he is gaited.
He comes from a line of foundation Appaloosas that are incredibly athletic but have good sound minds. I have included pictures of three of his daughters and two of his granddaughters that we currently have on the property. He stands at 14.2 to 14.3 hands. We will be picky about where he goes. It is important to us that he goes to an excellent home. We are asking $9500.00. Please reach out to Lacey (509)936-1703 with questions. Located in Deer Park Wa
