I’ll try to put as much information as I can. PLEASE do not waste my time. ?
With no fault of his own, Duke, is a 14 year old registered AQHA off the track gelding. He is an own son of Valiant Hero. He is a big, stout boy, around 16’1 hands tall is what he was measured last. Duke requires a confident, patient barrel racer. Someone who can really sit deep, he is powerful.... (read more) Previous owner did put her child on him, but he does have some quirks that require adult supervision..no mean bone in his body! I’d say he can pack anyone. He is literally a saint to ride around the arena or on trail. (Not a hot horse). I haven’t had the opportunity to really barrel race him, but previous owner has been in the 1D on him. He does have 1D potential & is bred for it. Duke is push style, not hot, but when it’s time to go, it’s time to go..he’s not too bad at the gate. He is very gritty. He can also be a great trail horse. Sound, has big feet, but I do have front shoes on him. He gets to be sensitive. Bathes, (loves his baths), loads, clips, great for farrier, and has some quirks with tying. That is a private discussion if interested! UTD on vaccines, wormed, had his teeth done the beginning of the year & was chiropracted at the beginning of the year. I do have videos if you’d like to see more videos. Vet check at buyers expense. SERIOUS buyers only! And I will be PICKY on where he goes.
This wasn’t an easy decision, but I have to do what’s best for me. Once he sells, I’ll be slowly looking for my next forever horse. ?
