Fancy pony alert❗️
This guy is a 16h warmblood trapped in a 13.2h pony body… TJ is an 18yr old gelding with a very correct build and three lovely gaits that do not feel like they belong to a dude his size. The only thing that gives him away is how easy he is to keep. He is an extremely honest horse that aims to please and thrives off of a personal bond with his rider. He has wonderful sensitivity and can really move off your leg and your seat.... (read more) Because of this, TJ would be best suited for a quiet, confident rider who is aware of their seat and aids. He wants the ability to form an understanding and trust with a singular rider. With this understanding, he really gives his heart into whatever you would like to do with him.
TJ is currently owned by Salamander Middleburg and is a part of the equestrian program here. Durning his time in the program, he has taught children’s beginner through intermediate lessons, pony rides, both guided trail rides and taken out beginner guests on the trail with a good sense to follow the horse in front of him. He has been exposed to zip-lines, golf carts, bicycles, bouncy houses, frisbees, kites, dogs, plenty of deer, and all the novelties of living at a luxury resort. TJ is easy out in the herd falling in the middle of the hierarchy, he has outstanding, respectful ground manners, currently lives off grass, has an easy back to saddle fit, and has four super sound feet (currently shod due to his environment) and has never been lame a day that we have owned him.
TJ would be happy with nearly any job from a laidback trail horse to competitive Jumpers or even Eventing as long as he has the right rider. He would be great for a confident, quiet, mature child graduating off a small pony and looking for something with more power, or he could even take a small adult given his sturdy build.
