And then there was one...
SC Belle Rhapsody is the last one on our 2024 list! While we're still being very picky about a future home for miss Rhapsody, our main wish list for a potential new home might help. We're looking for someone who is more on the competitive side, has already been competing in Endurance or Competitive Trail for a while, and is already a part of one of the following: MNDRA, AERC, NATRC, etc. we're not in a hurry to sell nor are we set on selling her (She may end up staying here her whole life), but she is available to the right home given the opportunity.... Rhapsody is fully finished in her training with a total of 12 total months of professional training put into her. She has been ridden by all levels of riders safely, without issue, on long trail rides. She has been hauled to (an hour away from us) Zumbro Bottoms for 2 years and ridden down there a countless number of times. Camped overnight with loud music, people, and horses, while next to a tent and fire. She leads, follows, is okay in the middle. Never offers a bad attitude/behaviors for anything including being around other horses. She is just happy to be involved. She is NOT mareish at all. Just overall an absolute sweetheart that is willing to try and do anything you ask. She has unlimited Stamina; this girl could go and go without a stop unless you told her to. She has two modes, either she is very forward, covering ground, energetic as all can be or she moseys around, at any speed you choose. Both are controlled by the rider, and she does have an off switch for either if asked. Comfortable gaits, she is used to posting and won't miss a stride. Easy to transition into all gaits and has a great stop. She's crossed bridges many times, gone through water, mud, thick forest brush, sandy terrain, rocky terrain. Has been ridden in all elements and weather conditions (except severe of course). Ridden alongside highways, on highways. Rides out alone comfortably. This girl has done as much as she can with as much experience as we can give her. This girl would make a wonderful mount for a smaller rider or youth rider! She has two half-sisters currently competing in Endurance. SC Izzabella through MNDRA & SC Rhaptures Mistress competing with a youth rider in Utah.
She is good for the farrier, good for worming, vaccinations, loading, hauling (except she gets anxious if she's next to a horse that's bigger and will squish her), blanketing, fly masks. She is sound, she has had no health issues. There isn't a bad thing I can say about this mare other than that she is too closely related to our current bloodlines, and being we don't have an outcross stallion, she doesn't fit into our breeding program, which is the reason why we're attempting to rehome her to the right home.
Rhapsody will continue to be worked with, ridden, and eventually used for riding lessons in 2025 if not sold before then but she will remain on the list just in case!
