Located in Miles City, Montana.
Gumby is being offered as a project, and I’m asking what I have into him. He is very lightly started, with under a dozen rides. He will make someone a decent horse in time, but I do not fit with him.... (read more) Gumby is a very busy minded and good-natured colt, always wanting attention from the human. He’s easy to catch and somewhere in the middle of the pecking order. He’s definitely an easy keeper at this point!
Gumby has been saddled multiple times and has offered to buck a little with the saddle occasionally. It is not every time. He has not offered to buck with a rider at this time. Gumby has been ponied in town and out in the hills, and takes new things outside well. He has been ridden on one outside excursion moving cows, and wasn’t very willing to free up and move out, although he did well with the cows themselves. It’s going to take some work to get him to free up. He has been worked with the flag and the bag on the ground at home.
Gumby is out of Gene and Jan Hetletved’s program over in North Dakota. He’s by Coppers High Dasher and out of a Lonsum Drift 045 mare. He has Drifts Chip on his maternal side, goes back to High Rolling Roany four times, and also has a shot of Frosty Feature and Texas High Dasher on the paternal side.
Gumby sells freeze-branded Lazy K M Over Bar on his left shoulder and fire-branded L Over Lazy H on his right hip. Gumby has been good to catch, trailers decently, and I’ve trimmed him a couple times. Gumby is up to date on worming, vaccine, and trimming. Gumby has a cosmetic bump on his right rear canon bone. It has not affected his soundness. Gumby carries one copy of GBED, which will not affect him as a gelding. Vet checks welcome at buyer’s expense. Buyer responsible for shipping, and Coggins and Health paperwork if outside of the state of Montana.
