This pretty buckskin mare is Summer. 14 yrs old and 14.1 hands tall. She is gaited, what particular breed, we aren't sure.
She is very sweet, always easy to catch, loves attention, gets along with everyone we put her in with. Summer has tons of trail miles, has been hauled and camped with. She tacks up well and stands for mounting.
She goes where she is pointed, crosses water, logs, the bridge, etc. She rides with the dogs, not bothered by traffic.... (read more) She has a smooth gait and can cover ground. She was owned by a family who did not "click" with her and let her get away with a few things. She has a little bit of a motor but is controlled. We have spent time riding her quietly, slowing her down. She is not hot but she does not like a heavy set of hands.
Like most horses, she rides best with a buddy, but I have had her every where out alone.

We buy and sell horses and ponies. There are several of us who work with all the animals and evaluate them, figure out their personalities and quirks, and let's be honest, they all have them. We are very honest about what we are selling and tell all the behaviors we have noticed while they are with us. Key words being "while they are with us." If you take them home, feed 10 gallons of grain, don't ride them and let them get away with every bad behavior possible, we can't help that when their behavior changes.
