I think Shorty was once upon a time an amish kids pony. He is gentle and sweet when he starts to trust you (doesn't take long, just give him a couple of meals and he's your bestie for life). He greets you with a raspy knicker and will always meet you at the gate when he sees you coming!

Under saddle he's pretty straight forward. If you look up where you're going and set the boundaries from the beginning he's a willing participant.... (read more) If there's a kid on his back that's staring at the ground or lacking the motivation to work hard, he won't work hard either.

Goes best with a crop- he's one of those he knows when you have it and when you don't. You probably won't ever need it when riding him but you've just got to carry it.

He doesn't love fly spray. It's probably the worst "thing" about him.

I was told her was 13, I believe he might be a little older than that but I don't know for sure.

He stands at a solid 12 hands (maybe 12.1) and he's a thick dude.
