Additional Comments
Are you looking for a seasoned and dependable jumper or a safe school horse? Our daughter is headed to the Marines and would like to find her reliable horse a great home.
Meet Beck, a.k.a Beck's Promise, a 15.3 HH, 12 yr old chestnut gelding.
Our 18yr old daughter has ridden him for the last 4 yrs as a Jumper. Jumps to 3'3", an easy keeper (no maintenance) and prefers pasture vs stall (does ok in stall too as needed).... (read more) He is friendly to most horses and loves treats and being groomed.
Quote from my daughter on a few occasions, "Beck saved me on that one". He is a forward thinker that responds quickly to leg and takes care of his rider.
Beck is currently at a barn in Evans, GA, (outskirts of Augusta) approx 30 minutes from Aiken. With our daughter going into the Marines, we are looking for a good home where he can continue doing what he loves, being ridden, jumping & flat work (doesn't need formal events but he does well in them) and being spoiled.
He was pastured and trained with school horses for a few years so he is safe and dependable for riders with some experience. Has been to a few shows and done well. He has done a few trail rides (both alone and with other horses) and can be nervous the first time if he is not with other horses; if you are willing to spend a little time trail training you've got a great trail horse.
We have his Jockey Club registration/cert of foal. Parentage qualified. Foaled on 3/12/2012 in Colorado.
This is not an easy decision for our family and it is important that he goes to a good home. ?

We have his Jockey Club registration/cert of foal. We were told he ran one race and then was sold to a hunter/jumper owner. Parentage qualified. Foaled on 3/12/2012 in Colorado.
