“JD” is an 8 year old AQHA gelding by a son of the infamous Freckles Playboy, who was crossed on a daughter of Docs Hickory.... (read more) His dam was a foundation mare, and only shows he was bred to have modern cowsense, and that old time size to him - let alone, he is TRUE roan with frosted tips that will turn heads anywhere.

We bought this guy directly out of a rope horse program who had intentions of making him a head horse, before they ran out of time due to client horses. He can short lope around one handed in the arena, or collect right up in the bridle. He has been used a day working horse in south Texas, a fence checker, a colt ponier, the girlfriend's mount, and even knows his way out on the trails. This guy is quiet and just simply goes where you point him.

He rides inside the arena, out in the field, or down the road. He has crossed water, logs, and we rode him all over the slippery (melting) steep hills this spring. He has proven to take care of us, and with that in mind, someone is going to be head over heels for this guy.
