Welyn is approximately 6 years old. He was registered, but his previous owner lost his papers. You can send in his DNA to AQHA and you may be able to get them back.
He has had a troubled history. He was starved from the ages of 3-4, if not longer. And acts like he's had some rough handling. He's slow to trust, but he really does want to do what you ask. He just expects the worst.... (read more)
He's an athletic gelding, could do most western sports, and some english. He really enjoys going over ground poles and raised poles. He saddles up western and english. He takes bits with no problem. Has good ground manners. He stands for trims, hosing, and fly spray. He stands tied. He needs work trailering.
He's in weekly lessons right now with a trainer, and will continue to be until sold. He's been sat on a handful of times, and we're working our way up to riding. The longer he stays, the more work he'll have put in him, so his price may reflect that. He's a good prospect, with the right trainer he could do just about anything. Not for novice riders, he really needs someone who can further his education.
